The HP Z220 SFF is a refurbished computer with powerful and reliable workstation features that provide exceptional value for demanding professionals in product development, mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD), architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) and professional video editing. Designed for 24x7 operation under heavy workloads, these entry-level workstations deliver new technologies to improve overall system performance and energy efficiency.

This desktop comes with a 3.4 GHz Intel(r) Core(tm) i7 3370 processor, 4GB of RAM and 500GB storage space. It also includes genuine Microsoft(r) Windows(r) 7 Professional 64-bit pre-installed. This model is available with a Convertible Minitower (CMT) or Small Form Factor (SFF) chassis and a wide range of expandability options.

The tool-free chassis of this workstation helps IT staff swap interior components more quickly and easily than machines of comparable size. This also lowers maintenance costs over time.

Processor and RAM

This workstation includes up to four DIMM slots allowing for 8, 16, or 32 GB of memory. Depending on the processor selected, it may also include on-board Intel(r) HD Graphics P4000 or discrete graphics boards from NVIDIA and AMD.

Displays and Connectivity

Depending on the processor choice, the HP Z220 SFF workstations feature either internal or external HD IPS (In-Plane-Switching) displays that support a variety of resolutions and monitor input options. Several monitor mounting options are included to make it easy to install and use.

USB, FireWire and DisplayPort Connections

The front and back of both the CMT and SFF models have a wide range of USB 3.0 ports to connect USB portable hard drives, external memory sticks, keyboards or monitors. Moreover, the CMT model has IEEE 1394b FireWire ports to connect high-speed USB devices for increased performance.

SATA/SSD Drives

The HP Z220 workstations use a SATA drive bay configuration that supports drives up to 2.5 TB in capacity with an option for RAID configurations. In addition, the HP Z220 SFF has a 128GB SATA SSD that delivers enhanced system responsiveness and data access speeds.

HP WattSaver Technology

The ENERGY STAR certified HP Z220 workstations use an efficient 240-W or 400-W power supply that reduces energy consumption by less than 1-W in standby mode. This allows for substantial energy cost savings over the life of the workstation.

HP Performance Advisor

This workstation includes a software application that automatically tunes it for optimal performance. The workstations in this family feature up to three on-board or discrete graphics cards, which can be connected to a monitor through an external PCIe expansion card slot.
